Established in 1886, the Visiting Nurse Association of Boston is the oldest VNA in the country and one of the largest home health care agencies in New England with over 650 employees. The VNA of Boston provided more than 250,000 home care visits to over 12,000 patients in 2007.
The VNA of Boston prides itself on its free care program and in 2007 our nurses provided this service to 763 patients without insurance or resources to pay for care. Additionally, we cared for more than 700 infants, and helped more than 1,500 new mothers learn how to take care of their babies.
Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, we are fully accredited by The Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Our JCAHO accreditation assures you that the quality of care provided by VNA of Boston is nationally recognized for its excellence.
