Established in 1886, the Visiting Nurse Association of Boston is the oldest VNA in the country and one of the largest home health care agencies in New England with over 650 employees. The VNA of Boston provided nearly 250,000 home care visits to over 13,300 patients in 2009.
We take great pride in our free care program and in 2009 VNA of Boston nurses provided this service to 458 patients without insurance or resources to pay for care. Additionally, we cared for more than 2,588 infants and provided education to their mothers on how to take care of their babies.
The VNA of Boston is certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and fully accredited by The Joint Commission (JCAHO). Our JCAHO accreditation assures you that the quality of care provided by VNA of Boston is nationally recognized for its excellence.
